X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:<p><strong>Michelle Ren&eacute\;e's "The Spac
e Between"</strong></p>\n<p>A few months ago\, my friend came over with he
r 18-year-old son who is about to venture out into the world on his own\,
and he asked me how I knew that I wanted to be an Artist - that I could be
an Artist. I told him\, &ldquo\;When the words in my heart were louder th
an the words in my head\,&rdquo\; I knew. I also knew that the space betwe
en my heart and my head filled with all the emotions (good and bad) was ne
cessary to get me to that place of knowing that I could be an Artist. The
pieces I painted for this show have white spaces to represent all of the e
motional experiences that I had/have to go through to get to listening to
my heart. I didn't want to just fill up every inch of the canvas. I wanted
to remember that fear and joy equally got me where I am today as a self-t
aught Artist. The space between my heart and head sometimes looks like sel
f-doubt\, but it has always looked like love.</p>\n<p><strong>Arist Bio</s
trong></p>\n<p>Michelle Ren&eacute\;e is an abstract painter and a native
of Little Rock\, Arkansas. Michelle is proud of the fact she is a self-tau
ght artist because she gets to experiment with textures and colors and has
no rules or boundaries. She has been painting for over 20 years and full-
time since 2018. In her spare time\, Michelle paints with kiddos who are o
ften times facing challenges and adversities as she feels like she has muc
h to offer in ways of patience\, kindness\, and compassion in a safe and p
layful environment. Michelle's art is in over 15 states and in many homes
and businesses all over Arkansas. Permanent works are at the U.A.M.S Breas
t Cancer Center and The Better Businesses Bureau.</p>\nhttps://lamanlibrar
