 Trial&rdquo\; by Azar Nafisi (p.459)\, from her powerful\, bestselling mem
 oir\,&nbsp\;<em>Reading Lolita in Tehran</em> (2003).&nbsp\;When a student
  challenges Prof. Nafisi&rsquo\;s teaching&nbsp\;<em>The Great Gatsby</em>
 \,&nbsp\;a mock trial is set up with the professor defending character and
  book.</p>\n<p>Copies of the series anthology\, <em>Stories of Books and L
 ibraries</em>\, are available to reserve through <a target="_blank" href="

  catalog</a> with one held at the Reference Desk for reading in the Librar
 y. These vibrant and varied selections by diverse authors pay tribute to t
 he written word in works published throughout history\, to their readers\,
  and to the intriguing spaces that house them. We will meet Thursdays from
  2:00 - 4:00 p.m on &nbsp\;10/31/24\, 11/14/24 (film discussion)\, 12/5/24
 \, 12/19/24\, 1/2/25\, and 1/23/25 (final film discussion).&nbsp\;&nbsp\;<
