Silvia Moreno-Garcia is the author of a number of critically acc laimed novels\, including \;Gods of Jade \;and Shadow&nbs p\;(Sunburst Award for Excellence in Canadian Literature of the Fantastic\ , Ignyte Award)\, \;Mexican Gothic \;(Locus Award\, Briti sh Fantasy Award\, Pacific Northwest Book Award\, Aurora Award\, Goodreads Award)\, \;Velvet Was the Night \;(finalist for the  \;Los Angeles Times \;Book Prize and the Macavity Award)\, and her new est book\, \;The Seventh Veil of Salome\, which was a Good Mo rning America Book Club pick for August 2024.

She has edited sever al anthologies\, including \;She Walks in Shadows \;(Worl d Fantasy Award winner\, published in the USA as Cthulhu&rsquo\;s Daughter s). Silvia is the publisher of \;Innsmouth Free Press. Her fi ction has appeared in numerous magazines and anthologies.

She has an MA in Science and Technology Studies from the University of British Col umbia. She lives in Vancouver\, British Columbia.

This Lit Chat In terview is presented as part of Hispanic Heritage Month.
