\nI've always been fascinated by the "a-ha" moment - that ins tant when a writer finds an idea they want to pursue further. Tonight's di scussion will provide writers with new strategies for igniting their creat ive spark. This conversation will serve as a preview for topics that we'll delve deeper into during my 9/21 workshop\; I'll conclude the talk with s uggestions for how to prepare for that class.
\nChristopher Boucher \;was born and raised in western Massachusetts\, and he received his MFA in Creative Writing from Syracuse University in 2002. He currently teaches writing and literature at Boston College\, where he a lso serves as Managing Editor for \;Post Road Magazine. Chris is the author of the novels \;How to Keep Your Volkswagen Alive \;(Melville House\, 2011)\, \;Golden Delicious \; (Melville House\, 2016)\, and \;Big Giant Floating Head \ ;(a 2019 Massachusetts Book Award Fiction Honors Selection). He's also the editor of Jonathan Lethem's \;More Alive and Less Lonely: On Book s and Writers \;(Melville House\, 2017).
\nCentral Oregon Writers Guild's \;mission is to provide Central Oregon area writers a forum for mutual support and education through meetings\, annual events and workshops.
