Sara Rose is the Assistant Coordinator for
the Northwest Bat Hub and Project Lead for the Audible Bats Project. The B
at Hub is a part of the HERS Lab at OSU Cascades. Sara joined the Bat Hub
in 2018 as a seasonal field technician and has served as crew lead and ass
isted with data management\, call processing\, volunteer management\, and
community outreach. Sara received her BS from OSU Cascades in natural reso
urces fish and wildlife conservation. In addition to her work with the bat
crew\, she completed internships with the Deschutes National Forest and w
ith Cardiff University at their research center in Malaysia and monitored
pygmy rabbits for the Oregon Department of Fish &\; Wildlife. Sara is a
lso currently a graduate student in the Wildlife Science program\, where s
he plans to incorporate data from the Audible Bats Project into machine-le
arning powered data analysis.
