DESCRIPTION:Free\, limited\, drop-in notary services for the public.\nThis
  is an in-person program. \nA notary public is available at Downtown Bend 
 Library on the first and third Thursdays of the month to provide free\, li
 mited services for the public on a drop-in basis. The notary will sign up 
 to two documents per person per session. This service is not intended for 
 commercial businesses. \nA notary public is a state official who verifies 
 the identity of the signer or signers. Notaries are not licensed to practi
 ce law and are not allowed to draft legal records or give advice on legal 
 matters\, including immigration.\n&lt\;strong&gt\;What to Bring:&lt\;/stro
 ng&gt\;\n-All correctly filled-out\, but unsigned documents. Documents mus
 t be signed in front of the notary. \n-Current signed photo identification
  (such as: driver&#39\;s license\, passport\, U.S. military ID card\, or I
 D card issued by federally recognized Indian Tribe) for all parties involv
 ed OR a friend with such ID to vouch for requestor&#39\;s identity. \n-Any
  required witness or witnesses. Witnesses must be known to the signor and 
 may not be solicited from library patrons or staff. Witnesses must also ha
 ve valid\, government-issued photo identification.\n&lt\;strong&gt\;Limita
 tions:&lt\;/strong&gt\;\n-Services are limited to two documents per person
  per visit\n-Services are not available for commercial businesses.  \n-Not
 ary cannot sign documents in languages they do not understand. \n-Notary a
 nd the requester must be able to communicate directly with each other\; tr
 anslators are not permitted.\n-Birth Certificates\, Death Certificates and
  Marriage Certificates cannot be photocopied and notarized. \nNotaries res
