 is designed to enhance aspects beyond our mere physical abilities\, hence 
 the term &quot\;intelligence.&quot\; This raises questions about its impac
 t on our creative\, cognitive\, reasoning\, and meaning-making capacities 
 as a species. During this presentation Ram�n Alvarado\, Assistant Profes
 sor of Philosophy and Data Ethics\, will delve into these questions from a
  philosophical standpoint.\nRam�n Alvarado is an Assistant Professor of 
 Philosophy at the University of Oregon where he teaches courses on the eth
 ics of technology\, the internet society and philosophy\, the philosophy a
 nd ethics of AI\, data ethics\, and critical thinking. His areas of specia
 lty are AI Ethics\, Data Ethics\, Epistemology of Computer Simulations and
