DESCRIPTION:Explore how to plan ahead for living well as you age.\nThis is
an in-person program. Registration is not required.\nThis interactive wor
kshop\, hosted by The Peaceful Presence Project\, will explore the benefit
s of a holistic approach to planning ahead for living well as we age. Faci
litators will guide participants through various preparedness consideratio
ns\, including a look at the practical\, emotional and spiritual complexit
ies that arise during illness and end of life experiences. \nResearch show
s that the more we can talk about and plan for death and dying in a candid
manner\, the more we can be moved by life. A willingness to entertain sta
tes of preparedness allows individuals to be more clear eyed about what lo
gistical\, relational and physical realities might need more attention tod
ay\, bringing more clarity and wellbeing as one nears the end of life. \nP
articipants will gain exposure to a variety of different end of life plann
ing and contemplative resources\, including practice with core elements of
The Peaceful Presence Projects evidence-based\, holistic guidebook\, &
lt\;em&gt\;endnotes&lt\;/em&gt\;. Participants are encouraged to bring a p
en and notebook. \nFacilitated by Elizabeth Johnson\, MA and Erin Collins\
, RN CHPN\nElizabeth is the Executive Director of The Peaceful Presence Pr
