As part of Portland Design Month\, this ev ent is one of three activities to welcome attendees into Holgate Library t o explore how the deeply participatory design process for this brand new l ibrary led to a similarly engaged public art process.

Artist Cryst al Meneses and Activate Arts worked with the community to create an exciti ng mosaic mural that&rsquo\;s now featured at the new Holgate Library. In this workshop\, held at the new Holgate\, join Crystal and Activate Arts i n creating artwork for a mosaic mural for NAYA in NE Portland. Crystal is inviting the community to create mosaic tiles as part of a community-cente red\, community-inspired artwork. These workshops are free for all ages an d open to everyone. No prior art or mosaic experience is necessary. Just b ring your enthusiasm and creative spirit!
