Are you a low income or newcomer adult who wants to learn how to use a computer? Do you have school age children? Th e library is excited to present this special program where you will not on ly learn how to use a computer\, but you can take the computer with you! A s part of a partnership with BC Technology for Learning Society\, we will have a guest speaker teaching the very basics of using a computer\, starti ng with turning it on. Every participant will have the choice between a fr ee desktop computer kit or a laptop for 50.00$\, purchased at the event. T his event is designed for parents with low access to computers who want to help their children with school resources. \;
\nSession one is basic computing (this one). Session two (please see other event listing) i s slightly more advanced computer work\, looking at school programs. Sign up for one\, or both! \;
\n\nRegistration is required. Co mputer type must be selected at registration. Library and partner organiza tion are not responsible for ongoing computer support. Participants will o nly receive one computer regardless of how many sessions they register for . \;
