Are you a low income or newcomer adult who wants to learn how to use a computer? Do you have school age children? Th e library is excited to present this special program where you will not on ly learn how to use computer programs\, but you can take the computer with you! As part of a partnership with BC Technology for Learning Society\, w e will have a guest speaker teaching a \;deep dive into the computer p rograms used at schools so you can better help your child succeed. Every p articipant will have the choice between a free desktop computer kit or a l aptop for 50.00$\, purchased at the event. This event is designed for pare nts with low access to computers who want to help their children with scho ol resources. \;
\nSession one (please see other event listing) is basic computing. Session two (this one) is slightly more advanced compu ter work\, looking at school programs. Sign up for one\, or both! \;\n

\nRegistration is required. Computer type must be sel ected at registration. Library and partner organization are not responsibl e for ongoing computer support. Participants will only receive one compute r regardless of how many sessions they register for. \;
