Everyone should have an opportunity to lea rn about computer science! Coding for fun is an introduction to computer s cience and uses self-led tutorials over the course of one hour. The goal o f the "Hour of Code" tutorials is not to teach everyone to become an exper t in computer science\, but allows everyone to have fun\, improve problem solving skills\, logic\, reading for understanding\, and to be creative. T his builds a great foundation for learning computer languages and how to w rite a code for younger ages. In this session of Coding for Funparticipant s will program planets to make music. By the end\, participants will be ab le to create their own musical solar system\, complete with booming drums and spacey melodies. \;Program is limited to 7 participants. \; &n bsp\;
\nThis program was designed for 2nd grade and up\, but younger children may attend if an adult is present to assist them. Children in si xth grade or younger must be directly supervised by a responsible parent\, guardian\, or caregiver while in the Maker Lab. Supervising adults do not need to register for the program. \;
