 had a wartime romance which led to the birth of an illegitimate child who 
 was adopted soon after her birth. Nathan will discuss each step of the com
 plex process and methodology behind his research to try to identify that c
 hild&rsquo\;s biological father\, sifting through official documents and r
 evealing long-hidden family secrets. He will explain the range of genealog
 ical methodology approaches\, archives and services used\, including DNA-t
 esting\, which assisted and ultimately confirmed this three-year search&rs
 quo\;s discoveries.</p>\n<p>Nathan is a writer\, genealogist and educator.
  A member of the Society of Authors\, he has completed several local histo
 ry books about Hastings\, England\, his birthplace and childhood home\, as
  well as several works of fiction\, including the acclaimed genealogy crim
 e mystery series\, the&nbsp\;Forensic Genealogist and Venator Cold Case se
 ries\, and the&nbsp\;Mrs McDougall Investigates&nbsp\;series.</p>\n<p>Pre-
