  and environmental challenges here and abroad. A native of Corpus Christi\
 , Texas\, she moved to Cleveland to study illustration and graphic design 
 at the Cleveland Institute of Art. Valerie launched Yellowcake Shop in 200
 9\, and was featured on the eighth season of the TV show "Project Runway" 
 in 2010. A past Cleveland Arts Prize winner\, May&eacute\;n mentors aspiri
 ng designers and collaborates with local Latino-focused organizations whil
