 ching experience at a nature preserve in Sacramento County. This beginner 
 level walk\, will introduce you to the natural wonders of the Sacramento r
 egion birds and their habitats. Learn to identify birds\, and the importan
 ce of protecting their habitat.</p>\n<p>In addition\, practice your observ
 ation\, attention\, and curiosity skills. Nourish your creativity whilst l
 earning the basics of nature journaling to start your exploration of the w
 orld. A nature journal is the place where you record your observations\, i
 deas\, questions\, and experiences of the natural world\, using pictures\,
  words\, and numbers. Journaling supplies will be provided during the prog

 your experience\, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure we may

 fman Park.</p>\n<p><strong>About Sol Collective</strong></p>\n<p>Sol Colle
 ctive is a community-based organization whose mission is to provide artist
 ic\, cultural\, and educational programming\, promote social justice\, and
  empower youth through art\, activism\, music\, wellness and media experie
 nce. Our executive board and staff are made up of BIPOC artists\, educator
 s\, business owners\, and community mentors.</p>\n<p>Sol Collective has be
 en offering art\, culture\, and wellness programming for BIPOC communities
  in Sacramento and beyond for 19 years. The collective has organized sever
 al outdoor events that include Day of the Dead: Souls of the City\, Global
  Local\, and the Pi&ntilde\;ata Festival\; as well as\, nature walks\, hik
 es\, and camping trips. Sol Arts\, Solistic Wellness\, and Sol Outdoors\, 
 are some of our programs providing culturally relevant and&nbsp\; multi-ge
 nerational programming designed to empower and engage our communities.</p>
 \n<p><strong>Facilitator</strong></p>\n<p>As the Community Wellness Direct
 or\, Jesus Sanchez\, LMFT\,&nbsp\; leads and facilitates a number of train
 ings focused on building community wellness through arts\, culture\, and d
 igital media with a number of our organization&rsquo\;s partnerships. Jesu
 s also implements curriculum\, contributes in fund development\, and serve
 s as an active committee member for existing partnerships within our regio
 n. Jesus is a beading and multimedia artist\, as well as a Mexica Dancer. 
 Jesus' work has focused on working with Indigenous communities\, LGBTQ you
 th and adults.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Jesus is currently working on identifying ou
 tdoor opportunities for those who are differently abled\, as he navigated 
 changes in his own physical health while supporting elders in the communit
 y.</p>\n<p><strong>Assistant Facilitator&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<p>Luis Ram&
 oacute\;n Campos Garc&iacute\;a (Lurac) is an artist\, graphic designer\, 
 cultural worker\, educator\, outdoors enthusiast\, and migrant from Mexico
  City. His work explores visual art\, graphic design\, and sometimes music
  to create worlds inhabited by fantastic creatures inspired by his life ex
 perience\, culture\, nature\, and everyday life. He enjoys going outdoors 
 for wellness\, leisure\, culture\, and inspiration purposes. He is current
 ly the Arts and Education Director\, Gallery Manager\, and Outdoors Progra
 m Co-coordinator at Sol Collective. As co-leader of the Sol Outdoors progr
 am\, he organizes and facilitates culturally relevant outdoor exposure exp
 eriences for people to enjoy the outdoors\, learn about the environment\, 
 and connect to nature.</p>\n<p><em>This program is part of the Sacramento
