/p>\n<p>Appropriate for all ages but children should be accompanied by an
 adult.</p>\n<p><strong>About the Stranded Spinners:</strong><br />The Stra
nded Spinners group loves fiber! All kinds-wool\, alpaca\, llama\, cotton\
 , silk\, bamboo\, canine (Samoyed\, Old English Sheepdog)\, anything that
will twist into a yarn or thread.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Some say that the inventi
on of turning fiber into thread\, yarn or rope should be listed with the i
nvention of fire\, agriculture or electricity for the advancement it has a
fforded to humanity.&nbsp\; No longer did humans have to kill an animal fo
r a skin for clothing or portable shelter and twisted fiber made into rope
s allowed for animal domestication and many other things.&nbsp\; Like many
inventions\, people turned this practical skill into an art form!</p>\n<p
 >During their residency at The Hive&reg\; they hope to indulge in fiber ex
periments while continuing to build the fiber community (farmers\, crafter
s\, interested children and adults) in Spokane. They hope to show that the
?slow clothing? process can offer people much more than an item to wear.<
