Illinois has a rich and varied archaeologi cal record that spans some 13\,000 years. In this presentation\, we will f irst explore this record in lecture format\, then interact with hands-on s tations that include different archaeological materials from the Land of L incoln. \;

Simpson Jr. (Ph.D.\, RPA) is a Senior Scientific S pecialist with the Illinois State Archaeological Survey and an adjunct ins tructor for the College of DuPage and Northern Illinois University. He ser ves as a Board Member for the Chicago Archaeological Society and the Illin ois Association for Advancement of Archaeology.
