Join us for the "Legacy of Courage" Concer t Series\, celebrating the life and civil rights impact of Samuel W. Tucke r who was an instrumental figure during the 1939 Alexandria Library sit-in \, advocating for equal rights for all Alexandrians regardless of race.

The concert series will feature a wide variety of vocal\, dance\, an d instrumental performances from various minority artists\, celebrating th e unifying power of the arts and the sobering message that evil only preva ils\, when good men fail to act.

This free event is open to the ge neral public and will also host historical information from the 1939 libra ry sit-in. It is sponsored by the City of Alexandria\, Office of the Arts\ , and The Alexandria Library Foundation c/o The Brown Sanchez Family.
