 ns have garnered\, the history of our Supervisor of Elections office and o
 ur local electorate have been deeply influenced by women&rsquo\;s work.</p
 >\n<p>Join the BCL Special Collections department at Main Library for a hi
 storical discussion of the roles that women have played in enfranchising l
 ocal voters at 6:30pm. Bobby Henry\, publisher of the Westside Gazette\, w
 ill be a featured speaker along with BCL Special Collections Archivist\, E
 rin Purdy. A reception to preview artifacts and have refreshments will beg
 in at 6:00pm.</p>\n<p>Original artifacts from the Broward County Historica
 l Archives will be on display including Broward County&rsquo\;s first ball
 ot box (1916)\, Easter Lily Gates&rsquo\; quirky election day hats\, and o
 ne of the &ldquo\;hanging chad&rdquo\; voting machines from the contested
