\nIn this festive sugar cookie decorating class\, we'll create holiday-themed cookies that are sure to dazzle your loved on es! The class will cover how to bake the perfect sugar cookie\, followed b y detailed\, step-by-step guidance to use royal icing in decorating.
\nKristyn will guide you through the cooking process while sharing tips t hroughout class. The class is your time to ask questions\, ask for feedbac k\, learn a little something and most importantly\, have fun! \;
\nTo Prepare for Class: Simply purchase ingredients & \; gather their kitchen equipment from the provided recipes. You may view the recipes here to get you started. For a more relaxed cla ss\, we recommend prepping your ingredients ahead of time (chopping\, meas uring). This is not required\, however\, as you will be guided through eve ry step of preparation. \nThe Slick Family was established in 2007 w hen Brian and I were married. We enjoyed traveling for a few years and set tling into our careers before deciding to start a family. We have have two kiddos and a dog who think he's a third child. \; \;We lead very full lives: hockey\, piano lessons\, girl scouts\, active church members\, and as much family time we can muster between all the things.
\nEve r since I was in 4th grade I have wanted to be a teacher. I received my El ementary Education degree at Lewis University and before even officially w alking the graduation stage I had a 7th grade position teaching Language A rts and Social Studies.
\nMy career path took a sharp turn\, however \, after I was diagnosed with anxiety and depression in my 7th year of tea ching. For my own health and the wellness of my family I left my full time teaching position to stay home with my then 3.5 and 1 year old. After a y ear of regrouping\, getting well\, and focusing on me I rejoined the work force and decided to become a short-term consultant with Pampered Chef.&nb sp\; \;My cooking tool kit arrived within a few days and I quickly rea lized that my short-term decision was going to be long-term dedication to ?Making Family Mealtime a Priority?!
\nI left Pampered Chef in the f all of 2021 to dedicate all my time and energy to A Classroom Kitchen. No more safety nets for thi s girl! \; I am so excited but also a bit nervous. \; I am so glad you are on this journey with me and I can't wait to show you what I have in store for you and your families.
\nSo here I am today better than ever! Cooking and teaching and sharing all the food pictures (yes I am TH AT person). \; I want to give everyone the tools and confidence to ach ieve their wellness and cooking goals.
