 eville\, Georgia...this historical fiction novel traces the story of Reeda
  Jones\, local reporter\, mother\, and daughter of the beloved Mildred Mar
 tin who was murdered at the historic Feely house nearly thirty years ago.<
 /p>\n<p>Against the backdrop of rising tensions due to the Cuban Missile C
 risis\, Ree follows the clues of the postcards to solve the mystery of her
  mother's murder and her uncle's sudden disappearance from their lives.</p
 >\n<p></p>\n<p style="text-align: center\;">Books will be available for sa
 le and signing.&nbsp\;</p>\n<hr />\n<p>Alayne Smith is a teacher who wrote
  her first novel after she retired. Her novels <em>A Mystery Solved\, A Pr
 ediction Fulfilled\,</em> and <em>This Is Ellen Jones Reporting</em>. Thre
 e of Smith&rsquo\;s books have been finalists in the William Faulkner-Will
 iam Wisdom Creative Writing Competition.</p>\n<p>Many of Smith&rsquo\;s bo
 oks have a journalism thread. A lifelong educator\, Smith initiated the fi
 rst program of broadcast journalism and video production at Brookwood High
  School in Gwinnett County. The last five years of Smith&rsquo\;s career i
 n education were spent training other media specialists and teachers in vi
 deo production and broadcast journalism. The Alabama native received her b
 achelor&rsquo\;s from the University of Montevallo and her master&rsquo\;s
  and EdS degrees from the University of Georgia\, and currently lives in L
