  with Michael Kline!</p>\n<p>His exhibition\, Change: The Art of Michael K
 line is on view in the Peterborough Town Library Community Art Gallery fro
 m First Friday\, October 4th until Saturday\, November 30th.</p>\n<p>Kline
  has identified as an artist since the age of five when a teacher noted th
 at there was &ldquo\;something special&rdquo\; about one of his drawings. 
 When majoring in art in college\, Kline says &ldquo\;&hellip\;life experie
 nce had led me to experiment with what I drew and painted\, and I was draw
 n to professors who were more interested in using art to express one&rsquo
 \;s inner world more than outer appearances. Thus began several decades of
  making art that I eventually came to realize symbolized my feelings and s
 piritual world view.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>After 30 years as a Waldorf te
 acher making art in his spare time\, Kline was finally able to focus on cr
 eating and selling his art. He opened a gallery/studio space in Wilton\, w
 hich he ran for about three years. Then\, he says: &ldquo\;From one day to
  the next I lost the urge to make art (or at least I lost the unconscious 
 compulsion to do so)\, and I closed my gallery.&rdquo\; &nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Ch
 ange: The Art of Michael Kline is dedicated to the artworks he took with h
 im after closing his gallery. &ldquo\;This exhibit is the culmination of a
  lifetime of creating art&rdquo\;\, states Public Services Librarian Aimee
  LaRue. &ldquo\;Kline has built his life around the idea that he is an art
 ist\, and this exhibit shows how this idea has changed over the course of 
 his career\, and what it means for him now.&rdquo\;&nbsp\;</p>\nhttps://pe
