The central cultural values of Kwanzaa: Unity\, Self-Det ermination\, Collective Work and Responsibility\, Cooperative Economics\, Purpose\, Creativity\, and Faith are interwoven into a fun and engaging pr ogram that will have the audience spontaneously joining in. Kwanzaa\, crea ted in 1966 by Dr. Maulana Karenga\, is a seven-day cultural festival that is observed from December 26 and ends January 1. TAHIRA will share how th e seven principles of Kwanzaa are upheld throughout the year and are centr al to community and culture in the African Diaspora.
