 cipation can be done completely virtual! It is not mandatory to attend in-
 person registration. Registering here will sign you up for competing\, and

 on is at 6pm at the Duluth branch and will have games and an opportunity t

 lowing weekend on Saturday the 16th!</strong></p>\n<p>1. Participants may 
 register online or in-person.<br />2. The countdown clock will begin at 7p
 m on Friday\, November 8th.<br />3. Those who cannot/did not make it to on
 line/in-person registration and wish to partake will be allowed to registe
 r\, per the discretion of the facilitators\, by emailing the Learning Labs
 .<br />4. There will be either a theme\, situation\, or act that must be i
 ncluded in the film\, or face massive point deduction.<br />5. Any films u
 ploaded after 7pm on Sunday the 10th will be automatically disqualified\, 
 unless anyone from the crew has contacted the facilitators and given an ac
 ceptable reason for the delay.<br />6. Participants may enter solo or with
  a crew. There must be a crew representative who takes responsibility for 
 being the point of contact. The crew representative must be at least 12 ye
 ars old. If attending in-person registration and under 18\, a parent/guard
 ian must be present.<br />7. A participant can only be a crew representati
 ve once. A participant may hold any number of roles in a single crew. A pa
 rticipant with small roles may be on a total of two crews\, example: crew 
 1 role - production assistant\, crew 2 role - minor acting role.<br />8. F
 ilms may have co-directors.<br />9. Crew members can be added after the st
 art of the countdown. The finalized crew list will be submitted with the f
 ilm.<br />10. Films can be live-action or animated.<br />11. Films must be
  at least 45 seconds long\, not including credits. There is no maximum len
 gth\, but shorter films are encouraged\, as we will be favoring quality ov
 er quantity.<br />12. The element that must be included in the film cannot
  SOLELY be in the credits.<br />13. Films must be mp4 or mov files. If we 
 cannot play and view the film\, it may be disqualified.<br />14. Films can
  be any resolution.<br />15. Credits are not mandatory\, but are a plus.<b
 r />16. Films must contain appropriate content and be equivalent to no mor
 e than PG-13.<br />17. Films will be uploaded through a Google form. Each 
 film will be submitted with a submission form and a video release form\, s
 igned by the representative\, and a parent/guardian if under 18.<br />18. 
 For judging\, crews will be split into one of three categories based on th
 e experience level of the main crew (director/DP). Categorization will be 
 at the discretion of the facilitators. A breakdown of each category will b
 e given before registration.<br />19. The film submitted must have been ma
 de for the Fall 48-Hour Film Fest. Writing and all aspects of film product
 ion must have started after the countdown began. The film cannot include v
 ideo from any previous projects. Exception: Using already-existing audio i
 s acceptable.<br />20. Use of media from other sources is not permitted un
 less those clips are in the public domain\, or you have received permissio
 n from the copyright holder. If you have obtained the rights to use a piec
 e of media\, documentation must be submitted with your film. Submitting a 
 film with copyrighted content and failing to include documentation may res
 ult in the film being disqualified or significant point deduction. This in
 cludes content created with AI.<br />21. Films must not infringe third-par
 ty's rights and cannot contain the following: obscene material\, defamator
 y statements about any person\, company\, organization or entity. Films ma
 y not invade privacy or other rights of any person\, company or entity\, a
 nd may not in any other way violate applicable laws and regulations.<br />
 22. Participants may use Learning Lab resources\, including use of Recordi
 ng Studios and equipment. Normal Learning Lab rules for reserving and usin
 g the Labs will still be in place.<br />23. These rules are subject to cha
 nge at the discretion of the facilitators. The most up-to-date rules will
