 the south end of Horsetooth Reservoir? The quarry town of Stout had a hote
 l\, post office\, schoolhouse\, ranches\, and homesteads. In the late 1940
 s\, buildings in Stout were moved and dams were constructed to create a re
 servoir for water storage. Water was piped from the headwaters of the Colo
 rado River on the other side of the Continental Divide to fill Horsetooth 
 Reservoir.</p>\n<p>Learn about the history of Stout and its people from a 
 local historian through pictures\, documents\, and stories.</p>\n<hr />\n<
