During the Songwriting 101 workshop\, Chri stopher Felton will take some time to unravel the threads of songwriting. From the light touch of the individual notes of a melody\, the lush harmon ies of notes working together\, all the way to songcraft\, structure and f orm\, lyricism\, and final arrangements. This is a workshop geared towards songwriters that are interested in understanding more about their craft\, but is wholly designed to be understood by non-musicians and individuals that would like to gain a much deeper critical understanding of the songs that they love\, by any artist. Our key goals are to identify and understa nd all of the components one would encounter in songwriting and compositio n in a way that is easily understood by all experience levels. The worksho p will last approximately 3 hours with a short break included.
