This presentation is called "Digging for G old in the U.S. Census Records" and will address how to dig deeper for clu es among all the columns on the census page. \; It is oriented to the beginning researcher. \; An ancestor's census data can point to migrat ion paths\, family composition and relationships\, immigration\, naturaliz ation\, occupations\, religious affiliation\, FAN club clusters\, plus lan d\, court\, and military records. \; Just like panning for gold\, a fa mily historian might see specks of "gold" that can be built into family st ories with further research.
\nMarcia Stewart is a lifelong resident of Nebraska with over 50 years of experience as a family historian. Exper ienced in combining traditional research with genetic genealogy\, solving family mysteries is a favorite pursuit. She teaches genealogy classes at t he local community college\, is on the board of directors for her local ge nealogy society\, and is president of the Great Plains Chapter of the Asso ciation of Professional Genealogists.
