Ascension Parish Library&rsquo\;s makerspa ce is a place for inventors\, artists\, and hobbyists to bring their ideas to life. Located at the library in Donaldsonville\, we encourage communit y members to check out this new hands-on workspace and collaborate\, creat e\, explore\, and build.

To use equipment in the makerspace\, you must be an Ascension Parish Library cardholder* and take a badging class t o learn how to safely operate the machines and the procedures for checking in\, out\, and cleaning up. After taking the class\, you will schedule a time to pass a task-based activity to earn a completion badge\, which allo ws you to use the equipment on your own. \;

The Cricut Maker 3 is capable of cutting\, scoring\, and drawing or writing on various mater ials. It can be used with the Cricut Heat Press to create customized items .
