Participants &ldquo\;bathe&rdquo\; in the sounds and vibrations produced by a variety of instruments\, including Tib etan singing bowls\, crystal bowls\, gongs\, and chimes. Also known as sou nd healing or sound baths\, the immersive experience can help people to re lax and let go of stress or anxiety. The vibrations can encourage a state of deep relaxation and meditation\, promoting inner stillness and healing.
\nWear loose\, comfortable clothing and bring a floor mat\, yoga ma t (and pillow if desired)\, or whatever helps you be comfortable lying on the floor. A limited number of yoga mats are available for people who do n ot have one. Chairs will be available for those who prefer to sit.
\nDoors will be closed at the start of the meditation session\, and no late entry is allowed.
\nPeople with certain conditions including schizo phrenia\, epilepsy\, narcolepsy\, and pregnancy should not participate in sound baths without consulting their doctor. Some people with tinnitus may experience oversensitivity to the sound vibrations.
\nThe holidays can be stressful\, so treat yourself to this opportunity to de-stress.
