X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
Early nineteenth century censuses represen
ted children in a household with nameless tick marks in gender and age cat
egories. Their identities can be discovered despite the absence of birth r
ecords by using the tick marks to determine an approximate birth year then
build an exhaustively researched FAN for the head of household. Correlati
on tools\, geographic proximity in land records and later censuses\, and r
uling out same named individuals\, all provide the indirect evidence to gi
ve names to the tick marks.
\n
This program is presented in partnersh
