 at the Wonders of Winter Light Festival in Waterloo Park. We'll be in the 
 old Log Cabin for winter-themed crafts and stories\, plus you'll get to ch
 eck out the inside of the historic Log Cabin which&nbsp\;is the oldest sta
 nding school in the Region of Waterloo and the oldest known log house in O
 ntario.</p>\n<p>This is a drop-in event for families with children of all 
 ages.</p>\n<p>Presented in partnership with <a href="https://www.wondersof
 winter.ca/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Wonders of Winter</a>.</p>\n<h3
 >About Wonders of Winter</h3>\n<p>In 1993\, Bill Weiler\, a creative citiz
 en of Waterloo\, asked for a loan from the City of Waterloo to install an 
 underground electrical service in Waterloo Park to power the first 5000 li
 ghts in imaginative displays.</p>\n<p>The loan has since been repaid and n
 ow a number of local service clubs and generous citizens have taken on the
  volunteer task of getting sponsors\, designing displays\, repairing old d
 isplays\, building and maintaining the underground services\, turning the 
 lights on and off every night and generally maintaining all the light disp
 lays throughout the Festival of Lights.</p>\n<hr />\n<p><strong>Photograph
