\nSheila is a Kingston-based urban forager whose pande mic passion project was to bring foraging education to her community. \; She grew up in a in Northern Ontario\, where her family regularly forag ed for blueberries\, hazelnuts\, wintergreen and other wild foods. \; She has a certificate in Plant-Based Medicine from Cornell University and a Master Naturalist certificate from Lakehead University.

The KFPL is hosting 8 foraging workshops between April &ndash\; No vember 2024. \; Look for these workshops in our events calendar\, regi stration opens a month in advance for each session. Forageable goods often have short harvest windows\, so while there may be some overlap from mont h to month\, consider attending multiple workshops in order to maximize ho w many plants that you can learn about\, while deepening your understandin g of plants that are covered repeatedly.
