This presentation will be on the Artemis P rogram and how it will send the first woman and person of color to the sur face of the moon while building capability for sustained human lunar prese nce as well as the exploration of Mars. \;

\nNamed to the position in October 2 023\, she manages a portfolio responsible for the formulation and demonstr ation of advanced exploration systems to enable human missions to Mars\, u sing a combination of unique in-house activities\, public-private partners hips\, and international partnerships. MCO is focused on infusing new tech nologies into current and future major flight programs: \; Internation al Space Station (ISS)\, Human Landing System (HLS)\, Extravehicular Activ ity and Human Surface Mobility Program (EHP)\, Gateway\, Orion\, the Lunar Surface Habitat (LSH)\, and the Mars Transit Habitat (TH) \;which wil l be tested at Gateway in cislunar space before it begins its journey to M ars.
\nPrior to her current role\, she was the deputy manager of the Science and Technology Office at Marshall Space Flight Center. \; In this capacity\, she assisted in leading the organization responsible for p rojects and programs in support of the Science Mission Directorate and Spa ce Technology Mission Directorate.
\nIse was previously project mana ger for Space Nuclear Propulsion at Marshall Space Flight Center. \; P rior to that role\, she was division chief in the Systems Development\, In tegration\, and Test Division\; Program Executive for Technology Demonstra tion Missions at NASA Headquarters\; and deputy launch vehicle manager for the Commercial Crew Program. \; She graduated from Joliet West High S chool\, the University of Alabama in Huntsville and has worked at NASA for 24 years.
