Monroe County Public Library (MCPL) Board of Trustees meetings are typically held on the Third Wednesday of every mo nth at 5:45 p.m. in Meeting Room 1B/C\, first floor\, Downtown Library. Ju ne meetings are held at the Ellettsville Branch in Room A/B and September meetings are held at the Southwest Branch in Room A/B. You may join board meetings virtually via zoom.mcpl.info .
\nThe board is the policy-making body of the Library and determin es such matters as hours open\, holidays\, vacations\, salaries\, and also works with the Library Director in preparing the MCPL budget. The board h ires and advises the Library Director in the operation of the Library. The board meets monthly\; meetings are open to the public. Meeting agenda wit h time and location are posted in various locations in the Library 48 hour s in advance. Meetings are cablecast live on the government channel of&nbs p\;Community Access Televisi on Services (CATS).
