Stay connected this winter with an out-of- state pen pal! Join Bexley Public Library as we partner with Pierson Libra ry in Shelburne\, Vermont. Patrons of all ages can register and participat e by filling out THIS FORM .
\nWhen registration closes\, library staff will match reg istrants\, and you'll receive your pen pal's name\, as well as a little bi t of information about them. Return your letter to the library and we'll m ail it to Pierson Library to distribute to your pen pal\, and we'll notify you when a letter from your pen pal is ready for pick up at Bexley Public Library. Libraries will send mail back and forth every two weeks.

\nThe role of the libraries in volved in the Winter Pen Pals program is to encourage connection between l ibrary patrons across states. The libraries assume no responsibility for t he content of letters sent or actions taken between Pen Pal participants.& nbsp\;We hope you come to this in the spirit of respect\, curiosity\, kind ness\, and openness. Respectful and appropriate language are the expectati ons\, there is no space for hate speech/derogatory comments.
\nJanuary 2-12: \;Registration for patrons of all-ages. \;
\nJanuary 22: \;Star ting this day\, patrons can pick up their Pen Pal Packets at the library. Packets include pen pal information\, paper\, envelopes\, and suggested wr iting topics.
\nFebruary-March: \;Patrons are e ncouraged to write at least 2 letters to their pen pals\; Bexley Public Li brary staff will mail them and notify you when we receive your letters.&nb sp\;
