 ns of Asian American people\, whose families immigrated to the U.S. from c
 ountries such as China\, Korea\, Vietnam\, Thailand\, Singapore\, Indonesi
 a\, Malaysia\, the Philippines\, and elsewhere\, will be observing the hol
 iday beginning on January 29 with their families\, friends and neighbors.<
 /p>\n<p>Come join us at the Connie Morella Library for an informative and 
 entertaining short program describing and explaining some of the customs a
 nd traditions associated with the chasing away of evil spirits and welcomi
 ng in a new year filled with happiness\, prosperity and luck! We'll read s
 ome children's picture book stories\, sing some New Year songs\, and have 
 a chance for you to make New Year lanterns\, dragons\, and snakes of your

 nce (both virtual and in the branch) is limited to participants within the
  suggested age range of the program. Children attending an MCPL program un
 der the age of 8 must be accompanied by an adult. Adults attending a progr
