Films discussed include "Full Metal Jacket" (1987)\, "The Deer Hunter'" (1978)\, "Apocalypse Now" (1979)\, "P latoon" (1986)\, "Good Morning\, Vietnam" (1987)\, "Born of the Fourth of July"(1989)\, and "Casualties of War" (1989).
\nPresenter: Greg Long is \;Long Island based filmmaker\, film historian and lecturer\, and has over 15 years of experience as a producer\, director\, cinematographer and editor. \; He has been lecturing on film and media studies and ot her topics since 2018.He is an award-winning producer for the show &ldquo\ ;Push Pause Long Island&rdquo\; on Verizon Fios1\, and as a documentarian for the films &ldquo\;Undocumented&rdquo\; (2016)\, and &ldquo\;A World Wi thin a World: The Bay Houses of Long Island&rdquo\; (2020). \;Greg ha s developed and produces over 60 lecture programs for public and private c lients\, including LIU Post Hutton House\, Molloy College\, The Huntington Cinema Arts Centre\, and dozens of libraries and venues throughout the No rtheast.
