 hance to think about what performance qualities a book should have for rea
 ding aloud\, ways to prepare children for a read-aloud book\, and tips to 
 enhancing the reading experience for both the children and reader. Everyon
 e will have the opportunity to practice reading aloud as well as titles to
  consider for varying ages. This will inspire authors of children's books 
 to write for the ear as well as for the eye.</p>\n<p>About the presenter:<
 /p>\n<p><a href="http://www.erinpringle.com/">Erin Pringle</a> lives and w
 rites in Spokane. She's the author of several titles\, most recently <em>U
 nexpected Weather Events</em>. By day\, she teaches preschoolers and kinde
 rgartners at the Spokane Montessori North School.</p>\n<p>The Lilac City B
 ook Festival is a yearly event to support local writers and illustrators o
 f books for children and teenagers. It's organized by Spokane Public Libra
 ry and presented in partnership with <a href="https://wishingtreebookstore
 .com/">Wishing Tree Books</a> and the local chapter of the <a href="https:
 //www.scbwi.org/regions/inlandnw">Society for Children's Book Writers and 
 Illustrators</a> (SCBWI).</p>\n<p>By attending library programs\, you are
