 ching experience at a nature preserve in Sacramento County. This beginner 
 level walk\, will introduce you to the natural wonders of the Sacramento r
 egion birds and their habitats. Learn to identify birds\, and the importan
 ce of protecting their habitat.</p>\n<p>In addition\, practice your observ
 ation\, attention\, and curiosity skills. Nourish your creativity whilst l
 earning the basics of nature journaling to start your exploration of the w
 orld. A nature journal is the place where you record your observations\, i
 deas\, questions\, and experiences of the natural world\, using pictures\,
  words\, and numbers. Journaling supplies will be provided during the prog

 ities.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><strong>What to expect:&nbsp\;</strong></p>\n<ul>\n
 <li>We will gather at the Visitor Center. 13501 Franklin Blvd. Galt\, CA -
 Parking is free.&nbsp\;</li>\n<li>Program staff will be available at the a
 rrival location to help guide you to the program area.</li>\n<li>To maximi
 ze your experience\, please plan to arrive 15 minutes early to ensure we m
 ay begin on time.</li>\n<li>We will start with brief introductions and a s

  are not allowed.</li>\n<li>Stay on designated trails.</li>\n<li>Collectin
 g is not allowed. Leave feathers\, plants\, rocks\, animals as you found t
 hem.</li>\n<li>Bicycles are not allowed on the trails\, but they can be lo
 cked up at the Visitor Center.</li>\n<li>Camping\, smoking\, and fires are
  not allowed.</li>\n<li>Hunting is not allowed.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><br /><str

 The directions below will provide you with access to the Preserve. The Pre

 coration: underline\;">Access from Interstate 5 from Twin Cities Rd.</span
 ></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exit at Twin Cities Rd.</li>\n<li>Take Twin Cities Eastbo
 und for approximately 3 miles (Go over the railroad tracks)</li>\n<li>Turn
  right onto Bruceville Rd.</li>\n<li>Merge right onto Desmond Rd. Go over 
 the railroad tracks.</li>\n<li>Take a left onto Franklin and the Visitor C
 enter will be 1 mile south on the left-hand side.</li>\n</ul>\n<p><span st

 nbsp\;</span></p>\n<ul>\n<li>Exit at Thornton Rd. Exit 493.</li>\n<li>Go w
 est on Walnut Grove Rd for approximately 1 1/2 miles.</li>\n<li>Turn right
  onto Blossom Rd.</li>\n<li>In approximately 3 miles turn right onto Barbe
 r Rd. Go under the freeway.</li>\n<li>Turn left onto Cameron Rd.</li>\n<li
 >In 2 miles turn left onto Thornton/Franklin Rd. The Visitor Center will b

 at Stockton Blvd/Twin Cities offramp. Exit 277.</li>\n<li>Take Twin Cities

 ive</strong></p>\n<p>Sol Collective is a community-based organization whos
 e mission is to provide artistic\, cultural\, and educational programming\
 , promote social justice\, and empower youth through art\, activism\, musi
 c\, wellness and media experience. Our executive board and staff are made 
 up of BIPOC artists\, educators\, business owners\, and community mentors.
 </p>\n<p>Sol Collective has been offering art\, culture\, and wellness pro
 gramming for BIPOC communities in Sacramento and beyond for 19 years. The 
 collective has organized several outdoor events that include Day of the De
 ad: Souls of the City\, Global Local\, and the Pi&ntilde\;ata Festival\; a
 s well as\, nature walks\, hikes\, and camping trips. Sol Arts\, Solistic 
 Wellness\, and Sol Outdoors\, are some of our programs providing culturall
 y relevant and&nbsp\; multi-generational programming designed to empower a
 nd engage our communities.</p>\n<p><strong>Facilitator</strong></p>\n<p>As
  the Community Wellness Director\, Jesus Sanchez\, LMFT\,&nbsp\; leads and
  facilitates a number of trainings focused on building community wellness 
 through arts\, culture\, and digital media with a number of our organizati
 on&rsquo\;s partnerships. Jesus also implements curriculum\, contributes i
 n fund development\, and serves as an active committee member for existing
  partnerships within our region. Jesus is a beading and multimedia artist\
 , as well as a Mexica Dancer. Jesus' work has focused on working with Indi
 genous communities\, LGBTQ youth and adults.&nbsp\;</p>\n<p>Jesus is curre
 ntly working on identifying outdoor opportunities for those who are differ
 ently abled\, as he navigated changes in his own physical health while sup
 porting elders in the community.</p>\n<p><strong>Assistant Facilitator&nbs
 p\;</strong></p>\n<p>Luis Ram&oacute\;n Campos Garc&iacute\;a (Lurac) is a
 n artist\, graphic designer\, cultural worker\, educator\, outdoors enthus
 iast\, and migrant from Mexico City. His work explores visual art\, graphi
 c design\, and sometimes music to create worlds inhabited by fantastic cre
 atures inspired by his life experience\, culture\, nature\, and everyday l
 ife. He enjoys going outdoors for wellness\, leisure\, culture\, and inspi
 ration purposes. He is currently the Arts and Education Director\, Gallery
  Manager\, and Outdoors Program Co-coordinator at Sol Collective. As co-le
 ader of the Sol Outdoors program\, he organizes and facilitates culturally
  relevant outdoor exposure experiences for people to enjoy the outdoors\, 
 learn about the environment\, and connect to nature.</p>\n<p><em>This prog
