Mrs. Karen Bush is currently the Director of College &\; Career Counseling for Hamilto n Southeastern High School\, where she oversees postsecondary outcomes for over 3500 students.

\n

Before working at HSE\, Karen was the Associa te Director of the College Board for the Midwest Region for the last 4 yea rs. Prior to this she worked as the College and Career Resource Center Dir ector and the District Graduation Coach for the Metropolitan School Distri ct of Pike Township for 9 years. With over 20+ years of experience in high er education\, college access and business marketing\, Karen is also the V P of Education at GBKB Consulting where she works with students\, parents and community-based organizations to navigate the college admission proces s.

\n

Before working at Pike\, Karen was the Community Alliance Manag er for the Indiana Commission on Higher Education and Learn More Indiana w here she led statewide college access and success campaigns for the Commis sion and formed partnerships with local and state organizations to further assist low-income\, first-generation students prepare for college success .

\n

Karen holds a Masters in Higher Education and Administration\, a nd also a Master&rsquo\;s in General Management with a minor in Education/ Training. She also has her bachelor&rsquo\;s in marketing and business com munication. Karen is currently pursuing her Certification in College Couns eling from UCLA. Karen was also just recently voted to be the President-El ect for Indiana&rsquo\;s Association of College Admissions Counselors.

Karen is a dedicated wife and mother of two boys ages 20 and 18. She is also an active member of the New Horizons Church and a member of her so rority Delta Sigma Theta.
