Explorative Dance emphasizes techniques th at are relaxed\, investigative\, and playful. It uses improvisational prac tices to invite movers to safely try new and creative ways to explore thei r own body and rhythms. Unlike dances that provide specific choreographed movements\, Explorative Dance gives prompts that develop a flexible moveme nt vocabulary ultimately allowing the dancer to make their own free-form c hoices in their own time. Movers will find their choices change as they ar e influenced by other movers in the group. \;

Explorative Danc e may evolve to contact with others\, which in this class will be guided b y the instructor. \;Each class will end with a &ldquo\;Jam&rdquo\; whe re participants can move\, play\, and interact freely. \;All ages and experience levels welcome! \;
