Casual Commander Sunday is a fun\, casual program where attendees play the Commander format of Magic the Gathering.< /p>\n

Commander is the most popular format of the iconic game Magic the Gathering. Each player starts at 40 \;life\, and each player's deck is headed by a legendary creature designated as that deck's commander. A pla yer's choice of commander determines which other cards can be played in th e deck (except for \;basic lands\, each card in the deck must have a d ifferent name).

Bring your own deck or use pre-constructed decks p rovided for by Broward County Library. We will even teach you how to play. Beginners and veterans of Magic the Gathering are welcomed. \;

\n< p>Once month\, attendees are encouraged to bring a deck focused on a given theme below (encouraged not required):

March 16--Luck of the Draw: Commander decks centered around coin flips\, cascade and wheel.  \;

April 13--House of Dragon: Commander decks with dragon com manders. \;
