 <strong>Make-Off</strong>. Selected artists will compete to make an origin
 al piece of art related to Ignite equipment\, kits or other in-house mater
 ials to highlight the creative possibilities involved in making. Artists w
 ill be given 6 hours to complete a work of art which will culminate in the
  awarding of monetary prizes. Patrons will be able to watch the process of
  creating art\, take part in hands-on activities and participate in a patr
 on art challenge. This year&rsquo\;s theme is abstract art: using the buil
 ding blocks of art. Make your way to Ignite for an exciting and fun day!&n
 bsp\;</p>\n<p><strong>Art activities for the public include:&nbsp\;</stron
 g></p>\n<p>Free art kits for the first 50 patrons!</p>\n<p>Gelli plate pri
 nting: Use Gelli plates\, stencils\, and shape stamps to make monotype pri
 nts. Gelli plate printing is fun and easy for all ages! Follow step-by-ste
 p directions to make multi-layered abstract art. Ages 6+.</p>\n<p>Neurogra
 phic notebooks: Using lines and color\, design a cover for a personal note
 book. Ages 6+</p>\n<p>Follow along to a Creativebug video: Creativebug\, a
 n eResource database that all HEPL cardholders have free access to\, is fu
 ll of fun and informative arts classes. Stop by at the top of the hour eve
 ry hour for "One Square at a Time: Making Art on a Grid" by Lisa Congdon. 
 Learn how to level up your abstract art compositions. Ages 8+.&nbsp\;</p>\
