\nFacilitato r: \;Richard Reiter is a scholar-in-residence at the Universi ty of North Florida where he lectures on European Security and on Climate Change Policy. He served for over thirty years as a Foreign Service Office r with the U.S. State Department\, achieving Senior Foreign Service rank a nd working primarily in Europe\, Brazil and Afghanistan\, most recently de parting Brazil in July 2023. \;His work included service as Charg& eacute\; d'affaires in Iceland\, as the Director of the State Departm ent office responsible for the U.S. relationship with NATO\, and in the Wh ite House as Special Advisor to then-Vice President Joe Biden. \;
