war? This lecture will provide resources to help you uncover answers.

Once you have established what units you
r service members were in and where they served\, it is time to explore un
it-level records. These records help you write the narrative of your stori
es. They will also help you understand why your veterans were who they wer
e after service and probably bring up more questions for you to consider.<

many people begin research for their World War II service members is onli
ne. While most records you need to reconstruct a service history are unava
ilable online\, you can find clues and unit or contextual information to a
dd to your soldier's story. Tools and strategies taught in this course wil
l apply to WWI\, WWII\, Korean and Vietnam military research.
