uite of programming\, this older adult-focused program features a variety
of entertaining activities such as local musicians\, guest speakers\, art
activities\, and much more. This week we are thrilled to welcome local art
ist\, Kari Melhus Mullin who will lead participants through a fun art acti
 vity. <strong></strong></p>\n<p><strong>About The Instructor: </strong>Kar
i Melhus Mullin is a Cambridge Artist\, born and raised on a farm in Norwa
 y. She came to Canada in 1989 to study acting\, directing\, costume and se
t design in a school of performing arts. She now works as a visual artist
and instructor. Kari is a founding member of the Riverside Print Group and
has been an instructor for Cambridge Art Galleries\, Cambridge Centre for
The Arts\, and other venues since 2003. She enjoys watching children and
adults fall in love with the process of creating art. In her mind\, the jo
y of exploration\, discovery and process are as important as the finished
product. Kari has been working with sculpture\, jewelry making\, costume d
esign\, drawing\, painting\, and printmaking. Since 2006 her primary focus
has been printmaking. Kari&rsquo\;s art is simple and to a certain degree
stylistic\, but you can see her love for people and her Norwegian heritag
e\, including Viking ships and design\, present in many of her pieces.</p>
