It's a fun and informative experience for all ages with old time acoustic mountain and folk music\, dancing\, storyt elling\, and comedy!

The Rackensack Folklore Society\, Pulaski Cou nty have met continuously in Little Rock since 1963\, to preserve and perf orm the old-time music of the Ozarks. Lively dance tunes\, upbeat ragtime and melodic waltzes are performed on traditional acoustic instruments. The ir songs tell stories of the past\, and their toe-tapping music will lift your spirits and take you back to an earlier time. They will be joined by dancers from the Arkansas Country Dance Society\, a group of recreational dancers based in North Little Rock\, who perform and teach traditional dan ce with roots in English and North American Culture.

Some of the i nstruments featured in the concert will be Banjo\, Guitar\, Mandolin\, Har monica\, Fiddle\, Mountain Dulcimer\, Hammered Dulcimer\, Bass Fiddle\, Au toharp\, and the Appalachian Dancing Doll. Additional instruments seen and heard at monthly Rackensack meetings include Native American Flute\, Musi cal Saw\, Ukelele\, Bowed Psaltery\, and more! \;*Please Note: children aged 12 and under get in FREE with accompanying adult.< /p>\n
