  is many rings old. Red is the neighborhood "wishtree"&mdash\;people write
  their wishes on pieces of cloth and tie them to Red's branches. Along wit
 h her crow friend Bongo and other animals who seek refuge in Red's hollows
 \, this "wishtree" watches over the neighborhood.</p>\n<p>Each child will 
 receive a copy of the book at the first book club and we will read &amp\; 
 explore together. Please keep in mind this is a 4 week series and attendan
 ce is important. Kids will be assigned to read chapters each week at home.
  Through this book club\, we aim to enhance comprehension\, encourage crit
 ical thinking\, inspire creativity\, and foster personal growth.</p>\n<p><
 strong><span style="background-color: #ffff00\;">If you are unable to atte
 nd the event\, please call 847-531-7271&nbsp\;to cancel as soon as possibl
 e.</span></strong> This allows a student on the waitlist to join the event
 .&nbsp\; We will be taking attendance at the programs\, and staff members 
 reserve the right to move a registrant to the waitlist if they are found t
 o be consistently absent from programs.&nbsp\; &nbsp\;<br />&nbsp\;<br />-
