Monroe County Public Library (MCPL) Board of Trustees meetings are typically held on the Third Wednesday of every mo nth at 5:45 p.m. in Meeting Room 1B/C\, first floor\, Downtown Library. Ju ne meetings are held at the Ellettsville Branch in Room A/B and September meetings are held at the Southwest Branch in Room A/B. You may join board meetings virtually via zoom.mcpl.info .
\nThe board is the policy-making body of the Library and determines such matters as hours open\, holidays\, vacations\, salaries\, and also works w ith the Library Director in preparing the MCPL budget. The board hires and advises the Library Director in the operation of the Library. The board m eets monthly\; meetings are open to the public. Meeting agenda with time a nd location are posted in various locations in the Library 48 hours in adv ance. Meetings are cablecast live on the government channel of \;Community Access Television Servi ces (CATS).
