ry from the comfort of your home!&nbsp\;<strong>The documentary highlights
the creation of the 9to5 movement\, established to fight for workplace eq
uity and against wage discrepancy and was the basis for the feature film\,
9 to 5\, starring Jane Fonda\, Dolly Parton and Lily Tomlin.&nbsp\;</stro
ng></p>\n<p>In the early 1970s\, secretaries in Boston decided to fight ag
ainst humiliating\, harassing and illegal work environments. Their movemen
t became national and is a largely forgotten story of U.S. twentieth centu
ry history. Director Julia Reichert was an Academy Award and Emmy Award wi
nning documentarian.</p>\n<p>When Dolly Parton sang &ldquo\;9 to 5\,&rdquo
\; she was doing more than just shining a light on the fate of American wo
rking women. Parton was singing the true story of a movement that started
with 9to5\, a group of Boston secretaries in the early 1970s. Their goals
were simple&mdash\;better pay\, more advancement opportunities\, and an en
d to sexual harassment&mdash\;but their unconventional approach attracted
the press and shamed their bosses into change. Featuring interviews with 9
 to5&rsquo\;s founders\, as well as actor and activist Jane Fonda\, 9to5: T
he Story of a Movement is the previously untold story of the fight that in
spired a hit and changed the American workplace.</p>\n<p>Register at: <a h
